Before the Baltimore Design School moved into their new space in Station North, the school was housed in an old middle school built in the 50’s. To enliven the temporary space, several firms around Baltimore were asked to donate time and services. With just a few weeks to design and install the solution, our team approached the project through low-cost, low-tech enhancements. Typographic statements stenciled onto walls, framed posters and original ink drawings on Pantone sheets invite students to learn about typography, color, line and shape. This solution, designed while working at Ayers Saint Gross, was awarded a Print + HOW Color in Design Award and an AIGA 50 award.
